INT. INVESCO FIELD AT MILE HIGH – DAY

Brandon Marshall ducks his head beneath the SOUTH STANDS of MILE HIGH and towards the LOCKER ROOM. He’s not speaking to anyone, is it because no one will speak to him or by choice, we don’t know yet. Approaches-

BRIAN DAWKINS-

35 years-old, the newly anointed leader of the DENVER BRONCOS defense-

Grabs Marshall’s right arm.

“Hey man, you got a second?” Dawkins ask.

“Yeah man, of course, what’s up?” Marshall replies.

“We need you to be a leader out there… Do what you were born to do…” Dawkins pokes his index finger lightly into Marshall’s shoulder pad covered chest.

Just joshing you (what up Temple!) .

Seriously though, anyone notice a difference between Brandon Marshall in his first six quarters this season and his last two? Think maybe someone grabbed that dude by his face mask going into the locker room?

Yes, he sat out the second quarter, yes CBS felt the need to point it out…

Was it because he’d been doing horribly? No.

Marshall finally pulled himself up by the bootstraps. I’m going to go ahead and say that if we don’t see Marshall take this game by the horns, then his days are done in Denver. The other Brandon, Stokley is out today and that means one less receiver to catch the ball. If Marshall wants out, he needs to get better, no one is going to want him, he knows this. There’s only one way to get what he wants and that’s to be better. Be a better player, human being, man…

Let’s go Brandon, you’ve had your jelly donut, the team has suffered and now it’s time to do what you do… And that’s beat motherfuckers down on the football field  and there’s no bigger bully than the Raiders.
